Two contemporary music festivals: the UK-based hcmf// and Sacrum Profanum are joining forces to open up a stream of ideas and music. We build on the legacy of experimental music studios to build bridges between modern electronic music scenes and enable an inspiring exchange of programmes and artists on both sides of the North Sea.

8:00 p.m. Mariam Rezaei (turntables) - British-Iranian turntablist and composer. She creates music at the intersection of noise, hip-hop and contemporary music, and combines these elements with vinyl manipulations and the turntable, which he treats as an instrument.

9:30 p.m. Cath Roberts (electronic music, saxophone) - artist, saxophonist and organiser who explores free improvisation, composition and music at the intersection of these disciplines; recently, she has been improvising with electronics and objects (including without the saxophone), which has opened up entirely new areas of exploration.

The concert is organised as part of the Across the North Sea project in partnership with the hcmf// festival. At the same time, two artists already well known to the Sacrum Profanum audiences will perform in Huddersfield: Aleksandra Słyż and Martyna Basta.

Accessibility:
Both parts of the concert will comprise electronic music sets, the intensity and volume of the music can be considerable and the sound system will amplify the low notes. Hearing protection recommended. Lighting can also be intense. The venue has limited seating capacity.

The venue is adapted to the needs of people with mobility difficulties. An induction loop for the hard of hearing will be installed for the event. Assistance for visually impaired individuals* is also available. You can enter the building with a support dog and a guide dog.
