Scoring4Polish Directors: Jerzy Skolimowski
Scoring4Polish Directors as a Film Music Festival's tribute to the outstanding Polish director – Jerzy Skolimowski.
After concerts with music to the films of Agnieszka Holland, Andrzej Wajda, Roman Polanski and Krzysztof Zanussi, we will pay tribute to another legend of Polish cinema, award-winning director Jerzy Skolimowski at festivals such as Cannes, Venice and Berlin.
In the first part of the Scoring4Polish Directors concert in Krakow's ICE Congress Centre, traditionally, we will hear music created for the most up-to-date Polish premieres, including Netflix's Operation Hiacynth. We invited great artists who have prepared suites specially commissioned by the FMF.
In the second part of the concert, we will hear motifs and songs from Skolimowski's cult films. There will be jazz, contemporary dark sounds and poignant songs. We will hear vocals by Tomasz Organek, a friend of the director.
During the concert, the Polish Soundtrack of the Year award will be presented - for the best soundtrack of 2021 created for a Polish production.
The concert is intended for viewers over 16 years of age.
